On June 3, the Labor Education Achievement Exhibition and the Spring Semester Competition of the “Tsinghua Craftsman” Legacy Track of the Second Tsinghua Craftsman Competition were held at the Zijing Sports Field. Guo Yong, Vice Party Secretary of Tsinghua University, attended the event.

Over 20 courses from the Training Center participated in the exhibition, with nearly 300 student works on display. The student projects were diverse, showcasing rich imagination and creativity. Both on-campus and off-campus visitors were drawn to the excellent works, moving between different exhibition booths. During the exhibition of outstanding works, the Spring Semester Competition of the “Tsinghua Craftsman” Legacy Track was also held. The competition adopted a carnival-style voting system, where attendees voted for the semester’s outstanding works.

Speech by Li Shuangshou
Li Shuangshou, Director of the Fundamental Industry Training Center, expressed in his speech that the Center, as an important base for engineering practice and innovation education on campus, actively implements the university’s initiatives to strengthen labor education in the new era. He emphasized that through this event, the center aims to showcase the students’ excellent labor skills developed in the engineering training courses, furthering the implementation of Tsinghua University’s labor education plan and contributing to the establishment of a production-oriented labor education base with Tsinghua characteristics. This will help promote the high-quality development of labor education at the university.

Student Projects in Class
Yang Jianxin, Deputy Director of the Fundamental Industry Training Center, said that labor education is a key component in cultivating students’ overall abilities and an essential part of the university’s education system. The Training Center will use this opportunity to showcase the excellent achievements of students in labor education and share their learning experiences and accomplishments.

This activity is part of the series of events organized by the Fundamental Industry Training Center during Tsinghua’s Labor Education Month. The aim is to fully demonstrate the results of this semester’s engineering practice and labor education at the center, promote the “craftsmanship spirit,” guide students to form a correct perspective of labor, participate in creative labor, and foster the creation of a campus atmosphere where “labor is valued, and Tsinghua excels.”
