On October 12, the “AI Industry Development and Interactive Innovation” exchange and matchmaking event, guided by the Haidian District Committee’s talent work leading group and organized by the Haidian District’s Human Resources Public Service Center and Haidian Talent Development Alliance, with the collaboration of Tsinghua University’s Fundamental Industry Training Center, successfully concluded in Room B570 of the Li Zhaoji Technology Building. The event focused on topics such as the shift from AIGC to AIGS, AI and design innovation, AI future development and practical project design, and the intersection of traditional Chinese medicine, AI, and medical-engineering innovation. Over 70 representatives from 54 high-tech enterprises in Haidian, along with experts from universities, research institutes, and industries in Beijing, engaged in lively discussions on the development direction of AI interactive innovation, cutting-edge technology applications in AI, and the industrial development of AI.

Yang Jianxin, Deputy Director of the Fundamental Industry Training Center at Tsinghua University, attended the event and delivered a speech. He said that as the largest innovation education base in China and the world’s largest campus maker space, the Training Center has always been dedicated to serving technological innovation and technology transfer for Tsinghua and Beijing. He expressed hope that this event would uncover new scenarios for the application of AI technology and explore new opportunities for the development of the AI industry. Li Na from the Haidian District’s Human Resources Public Service Center introduced the development of the Haidian Talent Development Alliance.
Special researcher Xu Hua from the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Technology and Systems at the Department of Computer Science of Tsinghua University, Zhang Lie, Director of the Interactive Media Art Design Institute at the Academy of Arts and Design, Zhang Xiaoqing, Director of the Smart Healthcare and Medical Equipment Institute at the Tsinghua University Tianjin Advanced Equipment Research Institute, and Chen Zhen, Executive Director of the AI Laboratory at the Fundamental Industry Training Center, gave keynote presentations on the following topics: “Reflections on the Transition from AIGC to AIGS,” “Artificial Intelligence and Design Innovation,” “AI in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Medical-Engineering Cross Innovation,” and “Future Development of AI and Practical Project Design,” respectively.
Enterprise Representatives Visit Key Labs under Guidance of the Teachers of the Center
During the event, the attendees visited several key laboratories at the Training Center, including the Design and Prototyping Lab, Forming Manufacturing Lab, Mechanical Manufacturing Lab, Smart Manufacturing Lab, AI Lab, and Carbon Cube Lab. This provided a more intuitive understanding of the Training Center’s achievements in engineering education, training, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and social services.
As one of the first national-level innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration bases and a key construction base for vocational education teacher training by the Ministry of Education, the Fundamental Industry Training Center at Tsinghua University is also a part of the Capital Science and Technology Conditions Platform’s Open Laboratory and an innovation incubator in the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. The center is dedicated to technological innovation and technology transfer services and has created a platform for exchange and cooperation to support high-quality development through university-enterprise integration.
