On November 7th, Wendy Wolford, vice provost for International Affairs of Cornell University in the United States, Professor Rachel Dunifion, dean of the College of Human Ecology, and Professor Hua Ying, director of the China Center, visited the Center. Zhu Feng, director of the Smart Manufacturing Laboratory of the Center, accompanied the visit and introduced the historical evolution and laboratory construction achievements of the Center to Wendy Wolford and her delegation.

Zhu Feng led Wendy Wolford and her delegation to visit the Mechanical Manufacturing Laboratory, Forming Manufacturing Laboratory, Smart Manufacturing Laboratory, AI Laboratory, and the students’ innovation and entrepreneurship space. During the visit, the two sides exchanged views on the construction of engineering practical education bases, school-enterprise cooperation, and the cultivation of innovative talents.

The two sides hold a discussion
After the visit, the two sides held a discussion on topics including laboratory construction, the development of engineering disciplines, and collaboration between Chinese and American young innovators. Director Li Shuangshou and deputy director Yang Jianxin attended the meeting. Wendy Wolford praised the laboratory and space design of the Training Center (iCenter) and expressed her interest in pursuing deeper international cooperation in the future.
