In a proactive effort to support educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and to enhance higher education exchanges between China and Kazakhstan, a 10-member delegation from Kazakhstani universities visited Tsinghua University on the morning of December 3, 2025. The delegation paid a special visit to the Engineering Practice Education Center and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as AI-empowered teaching reform and talent cultivation. Led by Dilyara Rakhimova, representative of Lenovo in Kazakhstan, the delegation consisted of academic leaders and experts from several top Kazakhstani institutions, including M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University (M. Auezov SKSU).
Accompanied by Li Fan, Deputy Director of the Teaching and Research Office of the Engineering Practice Education Center, and Chen Zhen, Executive Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the delegation toured multiple teaching laboratories at the center and gained detailed insights into Tsinghua University’s achievements and experience in engineering practice education and innovation platform development. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including the development of big data teaching, the integrated application of AI technologies in educational settings, and the development of the AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competency Certification Program.
Both parties expressed their hope that this visit would serve as a foundation for future substantive collaboration in areas such as joint teaching and research, faculty and student exchanges, and resource sharing—ultimately contributing to the high-quality development of higher education in the era of artificial intelligence.
