On October 15, the national finals of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (2025) concluded successfully at Zhengzhou University. This year's competition attracted 6.19 million projects with approximately 24.43 million participants from 161 countries and regions worldwide, setting a new record in both scale and influence. Tsinghua University had a total of 7 teams shortlisted for the on-site national finals. After fierce competition, the university claimed the overall championship, achieving an outstanding result of "1 championship, 6 golds, 1 silver, and 3 bronzes." Among them, 6 projects organized and recommended by the Engineering Practice Education Center delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of "one championship, five golds, and one bronze" —achieving three major breakthroughs!
Breakthrough 1: The scale of participation and the number of awards hit a record high. The Center, in collaboration with relevant schools and departments, actively carried out competition registration, project incubation and selection work, and recommended a total of 28 teams to enter the competition, among which 5 teams won gold medals. Both the number of participating teams and gold medals hit a record high.
Breakthrough 2: An undergraduate entrepreneurial team won the competition championship for the first time. The undergraduate entrepreneurial team "Wange Intelligence" guided by the Center claimed the championship of this competition. In addition, the "MINI CRAFT" and "cPilot" teams excelled in the postgraduate creative category, ranking first in their respective groups and advancing to the ranking competition.
Breakthrough 3: A zero breakthrough in gold medals was achieved in the industrial track. The team of the "Xinyuan Zhiye" project, co-guided by the Center, stood out in the Industry-Education Collaborative Innovation Group of the industrial track and won the gold medal.

Let’s take a look at the highlights of these award-winning teams!
Championship Team: Wange Intelligence - Next-Generation General Model and Agent Ecosystem Based on Brain-Inspired Architecture
Team Members: Wang Guan, Chen Weilian, Shi Ran
Project Introduction: With the long-term goal of realizing Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), the team has built a new generation of AI model architecture by combining Reinforcement Learning (RL), evolutionary algorithms and brain-inspired structure research. It is committed to breaking through the limitations of existing traditional architectures in comprehensive capabilities such as logical reasoning, greatly reducing the "hallucination" phenomenon of traditional large language models in complex tasks, and creating an independently controllable basic AI model with extremely high general capabilities and in-depth thinking. In 2025, the team launched the deep logical reasoning model "Homo Sapiens HRM", which achieved nearly full marks in high-difficulty mathematics, Sudoku and other tests, and its performance surpassed mainstream models such as DeepSeek R1 and OpenAI o3, despite having only 1/10,000 of their parameter volume in multiple international evaluations including the ARC AGI test. At present, the team is promoting the application and implementation of the technology in fields such as robot control, quantitative finance, healthcare and climate prediction.
The team won the championship of the Main Track of Higher Education in the Beijing Competition, the first place in the group stage of the national finals, and the first place in the ranking competition of the undergraduate entrepreneurship track.

Gold Medal Team: MINI CRAFT
Team Members: Ye Yuxuan, Zhang Zheng, Luo Binxin, Chen Wenxuan, Wang Zixuan, Liu Haifeng, Ma Xiaolong, Chen Youyang, Zhuang Qingyue, Mao Yitong, Yang Zhenghao, Wang Xiaoshuang, Liang Runze
Project Introduction: The team developed an AI + universal microfluidic platform, committed to providing AI-customized microfluidic detection systems and large model solutions for drug screening, disease screening, DNA information storage, basic scientific research, precision medicine and other fields. It uses vertical large models to generate solutions in relevant fields for customers, conducts early concept verification and data collection through an intelligent modular microfluidic platform, and then uses AI for key feature extraction and classification to realize the integration of similar encrypted data across diseases and scenarios. The integrated data is used to train intelligent AI integrated devices in different end fields, enabling autonomous iterative experiments/detections until the optimal value is achieved with one-click operation and one-click results, building a "Unmanned Intelligent Laboratory" and pioneering a new paradigm for life science research.
The MINI CRAFT project won the gold medal with the first place in the group stage of the postgraduate creative category in the national competition.

Gold Medal Team: cPilot - A New Generation of Local PC Agent with Fully Autonomous Decision-Making and Operation
Team Members: Wang Guanbo, Luo Ziang, Miao Shuhan, Li Aiwei, Lang Ruogu, Meng Fanqing, Sun Cheng, Zhao Yitong, Sun Zhicheng, Dong Xiaohan, Zhao Haoqi
Project Introduction: All team members are from top universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and are deeply engaged in cutting-edge fields such as large model reasoning optimization and large model training. cPilot is committed to building the world's first PC Agent for end-side consumer computers. Through the self-developed "edge-cloud collaboration framework" and end-side non-GPU reasoning optimization, compared with pure cloud-side GUI Agent services, it can achieve faster response, lower cost and stronger privacy protection, ushering the Agent into the 4.0 operation era.
The cPilot project won the gold medal with the first place in the group stage of the postgraduate creative category in the national competition.

Gold Medal Team: Tsingbo Aerospace Operation - Full-Cycle Intelligent Aerospace Operation and Maintenance Management
Team Members: Zeng Yiqiang, Yan Weifeng, Ban Caohuo
Project Introduction: Tsingbo Aerospace Operation was founded by a doctoral team from the Dynamics and Control Laboratory of the School of Aerospace Engineering, Tsinghua University. It is committed to the satellite operation system service sector and provides full-cycle intelligent aerospace operation and maintenance management solutions. Tsingbo Aerospace Operation has achieved an internationally first-class and domestically leading high-precision intelligent orbit determination technology, integrated existing domestic space target data, and developed a real-time orbit determination correction algorithm driven by artificial intelligence. At the same time, it applies artificial intelligence to dynamically correct the parameters of the aerospace orbit determination model, promoting the development of aerospace orbit determination technology from the pursuit of single precision to a comprehensive development direction of high precision and high efficiency.
