On October 27th, the Training Center carried out all-English engineering practical teaching for 18 foreign master students from the Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University. The lecture was given by Li Fan, deputy director of the Teaching and Research Office of the Center.

Li Fan explains the related applications of smart factories

Learning and experiencing the SMT smart production line and smart factory
Li Fan introduced multiple smart production equipment and systems such as smart factories, industrial robot production lines, smart assembly systems, smart Chinese medicine pharmacies, and networked CNC lathes. He led the students to experience technologies like MES systems, AR digital twins, AI machine vision, cloud computing, and big data analysis. He had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the students on the future development and social value of smart manufacturing.
This practical session is part of the course “Future Design of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” jointly offered by the Center and associate professor Luo Jianxi from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, who is a visiting scholar at Schwarzman College. The Center has provided similar teaching content for two consecutive years, earning widespread acclaim from both faculty and students at Schwarzman College.
In the future, the Center will continue to advance all-English teaching in engineering practice education, further enhance the development of English-taught courses, and deepen collaboration and exchanges with world-class universities in related fields.
