From November 27 to 28, a series of 2021 Tsinghua Maker Day activities were held in the Lee Shau Kee Science and Technology Building. Executive Vice President and Secretary General Wang Xiqin as well as Vice President and Provost Yang Bin attended the opening ceremony and gave speeches. Over 200 people participated in the event online and in person, including scholars from Chinese and foreign universities, well-known makers and maker educators from various fields, and teacher and student representatives of Tsinghua University's creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship platforms and student associations. The online live broadcast has already been viewed more than 100,000 times.

The 2021 Tsinghua Maker Day activities were based on the theme "Finding the Future in Innovation". The activities included the 2021 Tsinghua Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Achievements Exhibition, International Maker Education Summit, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Training Forum, the 7th Advanced Workshop on Cultural Quality Education in Engineering, the 3rd SDG Open Innovation Marathon Challenge, and the Art and Technology Track - Metaverse Online Salon of the 4th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei & Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The event further promoted the innovation and entrepreneurship education activities and sharing of the latest teaching and research results.
