The Fundamental Industry Training Center was named National Comprehensive Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching for Engineering Training in 2006 and National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching for Virtual Simulation of Digital Manufacturing Systems in 2014. On November 21, the Fundamental Industry Training Center held an online work conference of the Teaching Steering Committee of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching.

Professor Li Shuangshou, Director of Tsinghua's Fundamental Industry Training Center, presented an annual summary report of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching and gave an overview of the matter regarding the application for the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award and the development plan of the Training Center for the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The experts attending the meeting carefully listened to the report, applauded the achievements of the Training Center over the past year, and put forward a number of constructive opinions about the Training Center's development plan for the 14th Five-Year Plan period. They hoped that the Training Center would be able to inspire similar efforts by other institutions of higher education with its own achievements.
