A new generation of electric vehicle transmission project

Chen Hongxu, Ph. D., Department of automotive engineering, Tsinghua University. Born from Yibin, he is now the general manager of Yibin Feng Chuan Power Technology Co., Ltd. During the study of master and doctor’s degree, in view of the problems of long power interruption and huge impact on the shifting process of multi gear transmission in electric vehicles, Hongxu proposed the “no shock” and “no power interruption feeling” shift control in electric drive mechanical transmission for the first time in the world, which broke through the  technology bottleneck of large scale popularization and application of electric vehicles. It won the “gold prize” in the BRICS Maker Competition and “IFIA best invention award” in the National Invention Exhibition and world inventions Innovation Forum. It also won the “gold medal” and “the most valuable Award” in the scientific and technological innovation works of university students and the exhibition of patent achievements.
