From June to October, the Training Center held the 2021 Practice-based Class Lecture Competition. This competition was jointly organized by the Training Center's Party branch together with its labor union, teaching and research office, and practice-based teaching department. The competition integrates the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party and Party History Education activities with the theme of "forging a rigorous and practical teaching style, and exploring ideological and political education methods". It aims to mold the basic teaching skills of the Training Center's teaching staff and instill a strong sense of ethics and morals. We want to carry forward the spirit of model workers and craftsmanship traditions and inspire our staff to upgrade their educational philosophy and master modern teaching methods. This will allow us to create a high-quality and professional workforce featuring strong convictions and morals, a wealth of knowledge, and a passion for innovation.
In October, the Training Center's TikTok account @清华实践 (Tsinghua Practice) published a series of videos from the Practice-based Class Lecture Competition, which were instant hits. Up to now, the account has 730,000 followers. A series of videos from a casting course were particularly popular. One video has more than 2.6 million likes and 140 million views. Afterwards, CCTV News, China Youth Daily, China Education News, Beijing News, and other media outlets interviewed practice-based class instructors and reported on the practice-based courses offered by the Training Center.
